My Story... the Traveling Organizer
People often ask, "How did you get into organizing?" and also, "How do you get paid to travel and do this?"
After losing a job in 2012 and being driven by the question, "What would I do if money was no object?" I began a soul-searching journey to uncover my true desires, summed up in two words:
I took off on a 40-Day organizing road trip in October 2012 that my mom called my "Eat, Pray, Love" trip, and she's not wrong.
After this 40-day road trip to organize friends' homes, I knew it's the direction I wanted to go after my nursing career. For the next 4 years I tried all sorts of things on my own and thankfully, got connected with a business coach. My coach asked where I wanted to be in 5 years, and that was hard to imagine. I decided that I wanted to start a team instead of doing this all by myself. Little did I know that a few years later, I would have the privilege to lead others through the same areas where I struggled.

A little about my geography is that I grew up in the Dallas area, graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007, lived in Waco, TX on and off for 10 years, and moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2016.
In my travels and journey, I've learned that the best navigator isn't someone who is perfect and has made no wrong turns, but someone a few miles ahead to show you the way, point out road bumps and potholes, and steer you in a better direction.
It is my passion to facilitate your learning & "aha" moments as we work to navigate your unique path. I understand how immobilizing it feels to be stuck and not know what to do next.
My love for continuous learning and sharing what I learn is what helps you continually grow and get to the point where you want to be.

I also love the different types of personality inventories that show what motivates a person. A few that I use in my work are Strengths Finders, Enneagram, Myers Briggs, and Four Tendencies.
The Strengths Finders test felt confirming when I decided to move forward full-time as an organizer. My top strength is "Strategic" which Gallup describes, "The Strategic theme enables you to sort through the clutter and find the best route. It is not a skill that can be taught. It is a distinct way of thinking, a special perspective on the world at large. This perspective allows you to see patterns where others simply see complexity."
My second strength is Empathy, which Gallup describes as the ability to "sense the emotions of those around you. You can feel what they are feeling as though their feelings are your own. Intuitively, you are able to see the world through their eyes and share their perspective."
With a strategic and empathetic approach, I intuitively coach my clients through individual barriers in a way that sorts through the clutter to find the best route. Nothing makes me happier than helping others uncover what makes them unique and building a one-of-a-kind business just as special as they are.
